PIPS Suicide Prevention Ireland Charity Joins Line-Up For Charity Careers & Volunteer Job Fair

PIPS Suicide Prevention Ireland Charity has confirmed it will be among more than 25 exhibitors taking part in Northern Ireland’s only dedicated recruitment and volunteering event for the third sector this November. The Charity Careers & Volunteer Job Fair, organised by Charity Jobs NI, takes place on Wednesday, November 5, from 10am to 2pm at the Assembly Buildings Conference Centre, Belfast.

Free to attend, the event brings together charities, community organisations and social enterprises from across Northern Ireland to promote careers and volunteering opportunities within the sector. Attendees can meet potential employers, explore current vacancies and discover new ways to make a difference.

PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity will use the event to promote its vital suicide prevention and mental health support services, engage with potential volunteers, and raise awareness about opportunities to help make a life-saving difference in communities across Northern Ireland.

Lisa Abell-Farrelly, Fundraising Manager, PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity, said:

“We’re proud to be part of this event, which shines a light on the incredible work of the charity sector in Northern Ireland. Volunteers are the heartbeat of PIPS Charity — their compassion and commitment help us provide immediate, life-saving support to individuals and families in crisis. The fair is a fantastic opportunity to meet people who share our vision of a compassionate society free from suicide.”

Co-founder of Charity Jobs NI, said:
“The Charity Careers & Volunteer Job Fair is about connecting people who want to make a difference with the organisations that need them. For attendees, it’s a chance to explore whether a career in the sector or a volunteering role is right for them. For charities, it’s a practical way to meet new talent, share ideas and showcase the work they do across Northern Ireland.”

At the spring 2025 event, more than 190 paid positions and 260 volunteer roles were promoted, generating over 450 application requests on the day. Exhibitors reported meaningful conversations with candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, with many going on to secure new hires and volunteers as a direct result of the fair.

Now in its second year, the fair has established itself as a key date in the third sector calendar and remains the only event of its kind anywhere in the UK or Ireland.
