Too Many Lives Lost to Suicide. Hope Cannot Be Scaled Back.

Too many lives are being lost. Too many families left grieving.
Our new campaign calls for urgent action — because when mental health support is weakened, our communities pay the price.

Why We’re Taking a Stand

Mental health services in Northern Ireland are under immense pressure. Cuts to the Mental Health Strategy risk pushing people further into crisis, leaving frontline services overwhelmed and communities without the support they desperately need.

“These are not statistics — these are people,” says Renée Quinn, Chief Executive of PIPS Charity.
“Every life lost mattered. We cannot allow hope to be scaled back.”

We Need Our Leaders to Act

The Mental Health Strategy was meant to deliver progress, compassion, and life-saving change. Rolling it back now is a devastating step backwards. PIPS Charity is calling on the Executive to protect mental health support and fully fund the strategy — not as a line in a budget, but as a lifeline.
